Partly because this motif simply no longer exists in today’s time, and as an old sea dog, I still like it. Lighthouses in storms, the structure’s battle against massive forces of nature, I simply find such motifs awesome. Here, I allowed my imagination to run wild to create this motif. Even if it’s purely from imagination, I still find it great because it also shows something of the struggle between man and nature.

The sea is my second home in all its manifestations.

Here, an almost painterly motif was created using strong long-exposure. Not always a safe undertaking on the wet stones 😉

I had to abort the first attempt here because it simply became too dark and I had to find my way back to the car over volcanic rock.
But I really wanted to capture this scene, so the next evening I set out again specifically for this motif.
One of those photos that hardly makes an impact on the phone but is a fantastic photo when viewed large.

These photos are not something that is created in 5 minutes, often long planning and then a longer shoot was necessary, one had to first find the right location, the right tides, the right weather, etc. Just many things that come into consideration when taking proper photographs.
