This German, old lighthouse, which also serves as a monument, was what I had chosen this time as the subject of my photographic desire.
As a photographer, you’re not alone here 😉
Despite the wind force 8 at 5°C, we managed to hold out for quite a while to create a beautiful work here with long exposure photography.

At an altitude of approximately 2000m, facing the volcano and watching the sunset above the clouds, is truly spectacular and a unique feeling

Romantic Moment 1

The beautiful thing about sunset photography is that you always discover these small romantic, interpersonal moments. Moments that almost everyone of us has enjoyed experiencing or would like to experience. Something that we all, I think, like to relate to. Love may go through the stomach, but moments like these make it unique 🙂

As is well known, I love the sea, which is clear, being a Hamburg boy and ex-marine soldier. The sea is my second home in all its manifestations.

Here, an almost painterly motif was created using strong long-exposure. Not always a safe undertaking on the wet stones 😉

I had to abort the first attempt here because it simply became too dark and I had to find my way back to the car over volcanic rock.
But I really wanted to capture this scene, so the next evening I set out again specifically for this motif.
One of those photos that hardly makes an impact on the phone but is a fantastic photo when viewed large.

These photos are not something that is created in 5 minutes, often long planning and then a longer shoot was necessary, one had to first find the right location, the right tides, the right weather, etc. Just many things that come into consideration when taking proper photographs.

But I like the interplay of soft water playing around the hard rocks.
Hard & Soft, Yin & Yang, Good & Evil, thus it has a special meaning.
These photos are not something that is created in 5 minutes, often long planning and then a longer shoot was necessary, one had to first find the right location, the right tides, the right weather, etc. Just many things that come into consideration when taking proper photographs.
