Here, an almost painterly motif was created using strong long-exposure. Not always a safe undertaking on the wet stones 😉

I had to abort the first attempt here because it simply became too dark and I had to find my way back to the car over volcanic rock.
But I really wanted to capture this scene, so the next evening I set out again specifically for this motif.
One of those photos that hardly makes an impact on the phone but is a fantastic photo when viewed large.

These photos are not something that is created in 5 minutes, often long planning and then a longer shoot was necessary, one had to first find the right location, the right tides, the right weather, etc. Just many things that come into consideration when taking proper photographs.
