Upgrades

Here you can find the option to upgrade your shoot with us to be compliant with copyright law.
Because photography is art, like music, and is subject to copyright. The only photo not protected by the state is your passport photo, as there is no creativity involved ;-) (This also applies to your private photos, as soon as they show creativity! Therefore, any publication is only permissible through the transfer of “extended usage rights”.
Purely private publications, such as using an application photo as a profile picture on Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Xing, etc., are technically violations, but I allow this purely private use free of charge. Especially since Xing is also a job application portal and thus compliant with the intended purpose. If you’re unsure, call me. Because using an application photo as a business portrait on a company profile, for example, is a violation of copyright law and can quickly cost €400 or much more if, for instance, a lawyer needs to be involved. This is just because I always mention it, yet application photos are published on party websites or company pages. It’s not my invention ;-) but worldwide law! Therefore, you now have the opportunity to legally upgrade your application photo or portrait to a business portrait. You can also do this in the studio, but this is the quickest way. You will then also receive the full-resolution file as a business photo from me.
